Canon, originally named Precision Optical Industry Co. Ltd., was founded in 1937 by Takeshi Mitarai, Goro Yoshida, Saburo Uchida, and Takeo Maeda in Tokyo, Japan. The company initially focused on producing high-quality cameras and optical equipment, releasing its first camera, the Kwanon, in 1934. Canon's innovative spirit and commitment to technological advancement propelled it to success, with notable achievements including the development of Japan's first 10-key calculator in 1964. Throughout the decades, Canon expanded its product line to include printers, photocopiers, and computers, becoming a global leader in the imaging and optical industries. Today, Canon continues to operate but is no longer in the computer business.

This Canon V-20 MSX computer I really like for it's ease of use. it has a simple composite video out and a nice keyboard.

It is still a bit dusty and I might want to try to retrobright the letters on the keys like I did with my commodore VC-20. Also I need to find a STL file to replace the cartridge door on the side.
