My camera of choice was actually an impulsive purchase, without giving it much thought initially. It was only after I bought it that I began to delve into its features and settings. However, I've been using this 4K camera for most of my videos, and I'm still discovering new features and realizing that I've been using certain settings incorrectly.
One of the most significant discoveries I made was regarding white balance. Once I learned how to manually adjust the white balance, I was able to eliminate the yellow hue that had been affecting my videos. Now that I understand how it works, this camera has become my preferred choice.
There are several aspects of this camera that I particularly like: the presence of a microphone input and earphone output, the convenience of being able to purchase extra batteries from AliExpress, and the fast zoom functionality.

A slight negative is that I find that some of the video it records tends to be a bit on the grey side.

The Panasonic 4K HC-VX1 is still available at some retailers.

The microphone I use for my voice-over is this Blue Yeti X, like the video part of video production I find that recording voice-over can also be a bit tricky, now that I use it with a special foam backpanel I feel it sounds much better.

My new favorite modern input device, the open source scan converter finally allowed me to hookup VGA computers and capture their video something that seemed almost impossible to get when using Apple computers.

I use a soldering iron similar to this one (mine is 60W), I like that the solder is connected to the iron which makes it easy to get. Also the tips are easy to get. A lesson I learned from my first soldering iron.

When working on vintage computers and attempting to fix them, you'll often encounter situations where desoldering is necessary. To make things easier and reduce the risk of damaging solder pads, I've relied on this desoldering iron. It has proven to be quite helpful, and it gives me more confidence in the process.
This hot air gun is a lifesaver when it comes to desoldering and safely removing ICs. It also comes in handy occasionally for removing stickers from items I've purchased.
